Nico Ong

Nico Wen-Li Ong (he/they) is a third-year Asian American Studies major who hopes to research Singaporean history and diaspora. He is especially interested in studying the WWII Japanese occupation of Singapore, queerness in colonial and postcolonial Singapore, 21st-century Singaporean emigration, and Singaporean nationalism. He is also interested in Asian American queerness, disability, and intergenerational dynamics. Nico is also a spoken-word poet and visual artist. Nico is a huge fan of Seventeen and was in the top 0.05% of Seventeen listeners on Spotify in 2022. He also loves cross stitch, roasted Asian sweet potatoes, Minecraft, and Asian otters.
