Zane received his bachelor's degree from Stanford University and his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Washington. He is the Director of the National Research Center on Asian American Mental Health and the Associate Professor of ASA. Like Professor Sue, he holds a joint position as a professor in ASA and Psychology. He sees that the ASA program provides resources and training for students to develop leadership skills. In addition, he believes that the results of the research conducted by the professors can be used to benefit the community. Currently, he is conducting research on Asian American behaviors and gambling.
