A faculty member since 1996, Professor Sue received his B.S. from the University of Oregon and Ph.D. from UCLA. Aside from being a professor in ASA, he is also a part of the faculty in the Psychology Department. Therefore, he brings these two different areas together in his courses. Professor Sue sees that the ASA program provides an education about significant minority groups in the US . In addition, he sees that an overwhelming number of students want to learn about the history and experience of Asian Americans. At this time, Professor Sue is engaged in research that deals with Asian American mental health and cultural competence.
