Asian American Studies University of California, Cavis
Faculty and Staff
Stanley Sue
Professor of Psychology, Psychiatry, and Asian American Studies

A faculty member since 1996, Professor Sue received his education at the University of Oregon and UCLA. He loves Davis for its friendly atmosphere and people. Aside from being a professor in ASA, he is also a part of the faculty in the Psychology Department. Therefore, he brings these two different areas together in his courses. Sue sees that the ASA program provides an education about significant minority groups in the US. In addition, he sees that an overwhelming number of students want to learn about the history and experience of Asian Americans. At this time, Sue is busy working on multiple projects that deal with cultural competence and Asian American adolescence.
