A graduate of the University of Hawaii, Manoa, and University of Wisconsin, Madison, Professor Ho
is the director of the Asian American Studies program at UCD. She loves to work with "so many Asian
American students inside and outside of the classroom and to see them grow as individuals committed
to serving the broader communities." As director, she believes that ASA contributes toward the
education of the community because students learn to think critically about identity and to find
ways to challenge inequities and injustices. Ho is currently working on the proposal of the
departmental status for Asian American Studies, the development of the curriculum in ASA, and the
expansion of the ASA office. In addition, she is writing an essay on future directions of Asian
American Studies in the 21st century.
